Holiday Gift Ideas

Trying to figure out just what to give everyone on your gift list is always a challenge. There are the little ones, and we know that often they find the boxes, wrapping and ribbons the best part. Once my son was given a pair of mittens, that were wrapped in about 10 different boxes. Perhaps not the most eco-friendly gift, but he had such a great time unwrapping it, and if you really want, you can always reuse the boxes and wrapping.

Then there are the friends, who always enjoy something that they might not get themselves, or something that they will truly appreciate. If you know someone who is starting their own business, getting them a stamp with their business's name, not only shows you support them, but that you believe the business will be around. You can also get them a subscription to Collective-E to help their entrepreneurial spirit.

For the parents with young children on your list, giving them a favorite book to share with their child that you and your little ones enjoyed, shows thought, and after all isn't that really what it's all supposed to be all about?!? Parents are also looking for gadgets and tools that help them save time, so there's more time for the fun stuff. Getting them the nomie baby car seat cover, will not only make all the trips "over the river and through the woods" hassle-free, but more enjoyable.

People also love when you know their hobbies and treat them to something that will enhance it. For example, if your friend loves photography, getting them a gift certificate for a photographer to give them a lesson, or a book or subscription to a photography magazine. If they are always quoting "People" magazine, treat them to a subscription for their guilty pleasure!

Really knowing the person makes thinking of what they will love much easier. Remember, it doesn't need to be expensive to be thoughtful.
